Guide
Tattoo guide
From choosing a design to caring for your tattoo. Written by a tattoo artist with more than 7 years’ experience, for clients in Belgrade.
This is a tattoo handbook put together by a working artist, not by a website’s editorial team. Each page answers one specific question that comes up before, during or after a session.
The topics follow the questions you’re likely to have: deciding whether to get a tattoo, developing an idea, the session, aftercare and healing, then touch-ups and removal. You can read them in order or go straight to the topic that fits your situation. Each page starts with a short answer, followed by more detail. If you’re short on time, the first paragraph is enough.
I’m Olya, a tattoo artist in Belgrade with more than seven years’ experience and over a thousand tattoos to my name, and I write this guide myself. Everything here is based on my sessions with clients and the questions they ask most often, so it’s full of practical detail: how long to leave the film on, what’s normal in the first few days and when to message your artist.
The guide isn’t here to sell you a tattoo, and it can’t replace medical advice. Some pages explain when it’s better to wait. Your design, placement and price are things to discuss with your artist. The guide will help you arrive with your questions ready.
